Hola, I’m Mel.
I believe that intersectionality of tech, design, and putting people first can solve the problems of the world.
My experience comes from a non-linear journey but a clear love for creating and humanity. I have been lucky to be in the forefront of inevitable digital transformation for many corporate companies needing to innovate to survive.
.As a User Experience designer, I drive solutions from concept to delivery through iterative and collaborative design cycles and I have been able to implement user-centered experiences for a broad range of industries including IT, Travel & Tourism, Public Sector, Financial, and Entertainment.
Working on a corporate level has given me a great understanding of business development and effective cross-functional teamwork but it has not deterred my social entrepreneurial spirit.
Outside of the office, you can find me putting “mi granito de arena” in building community for current and future generations with the World Economic Forum Global Shapers Community and providing my services to local governments in times of crisis with U.S. Digital Response.
I am also actively the strengthening of South Florida’s tech ecosystems as a UX instructor and career coach with Springboard and career coach working with young professionals rising into the tech industry.
